ENGINEER MOHAMMED SANI BELLO – CHAIRMAN
Engineer Mohammed Sani Bello is a COREN (Council of Registered
Engineers of Nigeria) member. He started his career with Nigeria
Tobacco Company (N.T.C) in 1967 as a Trainee Production Engineer
and rose to the rank of Production Manager before leaving in 1973
to join Federal Superphosphate Fertilizer Company (F.S.F.C) Limited

Engineer Mohammed Sani Bello is a COREN (Council of Registered
Engineers of Nigeria) member. He started his career with Nigeria
Tobacco Company (N.T.C) in 1967 as a Trainee Production Engineer
and rose to the rank of Production Manager before leaving in 1973
to join Federal Superphosphate Fertilizer Company (F.S.F.C) Limited
in Kaduna. At F.S.F.C Ltd, he joined the Nigerian Project Team
that worked with the Japanese Project Management Team charged
with the responsibility of establishing the first indigenous fertilizer
manufacturing plant in Nigeria. He eventually took over from the
Japanese Production Manager in 1976. In 1978, he was promoted
and appointed the first General Manager of the F.S.F.C Ltd.
In 1980, Engineer Mohammed Sani Bello joined the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (N.N.P.C) when the Federal Government of
Nigeria appointed him as the first General Manager of the newly
built and largest refinery in Kaduna.
In NNPC, he held several top management positions which include
Group Deputy Managing Director, Operations; Group Executive Director,
Operations with added responsibility of covering the duties of
Group Managing Director. He retired from the NNPC in 1993 as the
Group Executive Director, Refineries and Petrochemicals.
He is currently the Chairman/CEO of Sanbell Engineering Nigeria
Limited, a company formed in 1994 by a group of Engineers providing
Engineering Consultancy and Project and Plant Management. He is
also on the Board of HPI Africa (Nig) Limited amongst many others.
He has previously served on the Board of Kaduna State Water Board,
Kaduna Polytechnic, Hyson (Nig) Limited, KCDB and Afribank Nigeria
Plc.
Engineer Mohammed Sani Bello is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society
of Chemical Engineers, Institute of Petroleum (U.K), Polymer Institute
of Nigeria, Faculty of Risk Management of Nigeria and Nigerian
Institute of Safety Professionals and also a member of Nigerian
Society of Engineers.
He has attended several courses within and outside Nigeria on
Executive Programs.

He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where
he graduated with the degree of B.Sc Business Administration-Finance

He started his career with Ernst
& Whiney (Chartered Accountants) and later Arthur Anderson &
Co (Chartered Accountants) between 1984 and 1987. During this period
of his career, he had extensive involvement in the planning, supervision
and execution of statutory audits, purchase investigation, internal
control reviews, staff pension scheme reviews, accounting assistance,
financial projections preparations etc. In the process, he has had
considerable exposure to accounting and auditing practice in organisations
operating in variety of business sectors such as Oil & Gas,
Pharmaceuticals, Research, Construction, Agricultural Production
and Trading.
Between 1988 and 1994, he worked with a number of companies in
the manufacturing and trading sectors where he held senior management
positions which include Finance/Accounts Manager, General Manager,
Finance/Accounts Director and Executive Director. During this
period, for one of the companies, he was extensively involved
in the negotiation and securing of African Development Bank Export
Stimulation Loan and International Finance Corporation/African
Enterprises Fund Loan.
In 1995, he joined FSB International Bank Plc where his banking
career began and ended in 2005. During this period, he has been
saddled with various responsibilities which include Head, General
Internal Services; Head, Treasury Operations; Head, Consumer Banking;
Head, Commercial Banking; Ikeja Branch Manager, Kaduna North Branch
Manager, Relief Manager-Apapa Branch, Acting Lagos Area Manager,
Acting Group Head, Commercial and Branch Banking Group. He resigned
from FSB International Bank Plc as an Assistant General Manager
and Regional Manager (North) overseeing the Bank’s branches
in Kano, Kaduna, Maiduguri and Gombe States. He has attended several
financing, banking and management courses and participated in
several strategic planning workshops/seminars in Nigeria and abroad.
